Detailed Event Information
THEME & OBJECTIVES
Internationalization of business and government has caused dramatic changes in the communications with consumers, business partners, citizens, tax payers and patients. Most large companies generate more than 50% of their revenues from non-domestic markets. The open, global economy poses businesses and governments alike with both challenges and opportunities in supporting the global market. The end-user is taking center stage in today's networked information society. The end-user chooses the media, the channel, the language, the content. Support providers must deal with a growing variety of languages, cultures and formats. The Global Support Summit wants to address the challenges in global customer support. The objectives of this Summit are:
- To establish a common platform for customer support and localization-globalization managers: an interdisciplinary field for experts in customer support and international business.
- To share insights and intelligence in the issues, challenges and opportunities in global customer support.
- To exchange current best practices and identify issues that would benefit from additional research.
- To lay a foundation for continued collaboration.
