KCS Maturity Models
The KCS Maturity Model has been updated and is available to take as an online survey.Here is the link: http://kcs.stonecobra.com/limesurvey/
This assessment was developed by members of the Consortium for Service Innovation for the purpose of providing a self-assessment tool to chart relative levels of adoption and maturity of the KCS Practices. Taking the survey with different assumptions and interpretations will result in different scores. Therefore, it is not meant for one company to compare their score with another company. Rather, it is intended that this tool allow an organization to track their progress over time, or track multiple divisions with relation to one another.
The questions presented in the assessment change based on the answers to previous questions, but most people will encounter 80 - 90 questions. Therefore, it is recommended that you set aside at least an hour to answer the questions. The length of the assessment is long since it covers all 8 of the KCS Practices.
For more information on the KCS Practices, please read the KCS Practices Guide (version 4.0 was used as the basis of this assessment).
You will have to register to take the survey and provide your email address for us to send you the results. Neither the Consortium nor Stonecobra will use the information provided for any purpose other than to provide you with your results.
Suggestions for how to use this assessment:
(1) Take the assessment once and answer based on your organization today. Take the assessment again and answer based on your reasonable term goals. This will show the areas where you need to focus on the greatest advancement to meet your goals.
(2) Take the assessment once for each division and compare their relative levels of adoption.
(3) take the assessment once each quarter and use the results to chart your growth over time.
