Assessing the Value of Support
The joint KCS/Betty team has done some initial work on developing a balanced score card for the Betty model. A method to assess customer success on the web, a simulator to assess the dynamics and value of KCS and web-based self help as well as some key metrics for a maturity model and benchmarking. We have also seen the members (Openwave in particular) use Verna Allee's value mapping model with great success (Verna participated in our 2004 Member Summit). The goal of this group is to be able to answer the often-wondered phrase, "Show me the Money." For 2006 we are reinstating the Sponsors Committee and their focus will be on developing the value model for support. The Sponsors committee is made up of representatives from the Sponsor and Benefactor level member companies and they work on topics that span the program teams work.
